The Hula Hooper

Off season lunch shifts can be slow...and boring...
But sometimes someone will come in who breaks up the monotony and brightens my day.
I was about to leave when they walked in. A sweet looking couple in their mid-fifties, and she had FANTASTIC short curly hair. (having curly hair myself, I always notice when a curly haired person has a superb cut) And I mentioned it as I refilled their diet cokes.
She proceeded to tell me all about this wonderful lady she just found in my neighborhood who loves to cut curly hair. After several nightmarish salon experiences, she had resorted to cutting it herself (an experience I was all too familiar with) but was so pleased when she met this lady.
We shared insights on hair product and a mutual love of the new beauty supply shop that opened 10 minutes away.
'You need to try the Phyto products!' she said enthusiastically. 'That's part of the reason my hair looks so great today-I even went to my hula hooping class this afternoon and got all sweaty and they still look great!'
She was delightful. And now, I may have a new hair stylist.
Not bad for a boring wednesday lunch shift.
